Srinagar/Brussels: A Kashmiri is being hanged while wearing a pheran will be a shocking scene to be watched on the screens. This shocking scene is part of the Kashmir related Bollywood movie "Chinar -Daastaan e Ishq" and is all set to be released in India on 16th October this month. The movie is based on the Urdu novel "Jheel Jalti hai" authored by noted Kashmiri writer Farooq Renzu Shah. The writer of the movie while talking to Kashmir Watch on phone said that the movie is based on the concept of love, and is revolving around Kashmir . The main character of the movie is 'Jamal' who is the hero and he is being hanged while wearing a "pheran".

This is first ever movie fully written by a Kashmiri author which is focusing the miseries of common people and also highlights the in-depth wounds inflicted on the people by anti-Kashmir and anti-Muslim establishments.

Recently Kashmir related movies have hit the Bollywood Box Office and earned lot of applause and business both in India, Pakistan and worldwide. The most recent hit movies on Kashmir were 'Haider' and 'Bhajrangi Bhaijan'. Both the movies highlighted problems faced by the Kashmiri people due to the armed conflict and largest Indian military deployment.
